The calculation module allows you to create calculations using the analog values recorded by the system as well as constants. Calculations are built using operators and functions similar to those found in Microsoft Excel.
Calculations can be logged and graphed just like normal recorded data. They can also be used to represent a sensor input. This allows the user to construct a “synthetic” controller. An example would be an OUR calculation constructed from several different real values from probes and gas analyzers. This OUR value could be used as the input to a real PID control loop with a variable speed pump as an output, allowing real time OUR to dictate feeding rate.
Formulas can consist of current and former TAG values, user-defined constants, and former values of the formula (recursive calculations).
